Game Series Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within Endings I Through M
We work through endings I through M in this post, complete with videos. There’s a lot to cover!
And All It's Friends...
We work through endings I through M in this post, complete with videos. There’s a lot to cover!
These are the first videos I’ve made in this manner, and we made these in a public place (Starbucks, shocker) so the sound is wonky. But, here is the video explaining the cards, and the “K” and “G” sounds of Japanese. Please pardon my pronunciation, I’m completely self-taught and so I probably do it a bit wrong.
Well, Isaac Homebrew went out for St. Patrick’s Day in his hometown of Fort Collins. There was a parade, so he went to Starbucks (of course!) and waited for the parade to end before he ventured down into Old Town for some furry fun. This time around a bit more video was captured than pictures.
I decided that, for future projects, I needed to port asherwunk/phabstractic to the Python programming language (pyabstractic). Well, phabstractic relies on a couple packages itself that are in the PHP domain. One of these packages is zend-config, which is part of the Zend Framework programming library.
So, I haven’t made a personal post in a while, so I thought I’d update you on my life a bit. First off, the biggest news since the Shining Stars Young Adult Rocky Mountain Adventure is that I went to Disneyland! It was quite the experience. In this post there are LOTS of pictures and a bit of video of the parades, fireworks, and attractions.
I outline here what is covered in the guide along with accompanying captured graphics. Afterwards I include the hints that I was able to gather throughout the game. WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!
I mean, there was something about getting all the endings that was somehow somewhat satisfying for me. In Clock Tower there are two character arcs, Jennifer Simpson’s and Helen Maxwell’s, and each character has the complete full ending, “ending A.” Each successive ending after that is basically a somewhat truncated version due to various decisions or things you did or didn’t do in the game.
Clock Tower for Playstation has multiple endings, also dependent on two character story arcs. This post explores the full “A” ending while playing Helen Maxwell, the caretaker of Jennifer Simpson (original survivor the Clock Tower incident). Helen has a different take on things, including a wholly alternate ending and some differences in scenario 3.
Clock Tower for Playstation has multiple endings, also dependent on two character story arcs. This post explores the full “A” ending while playing Jennifer Simpson, the original survivor of the Clock Tower incident from the SNES game. “Will she make it through this game of murder alive?”
Clock Tower for the Playstation was the first Clock Tower released in North America. This game was also directed by Hifumi Kohno, carrying over the atmosphere and artistic decisions of the first game. This time, however, it’s in 3D.
Asher loves Yankee Candle a little bit too much, doesn’t he? Python, Brython, and the latest in PyPI submissions is covered, but first, what happened at Shining Stars? Golden Girls will rule the nation. Will Artificial Life ever be drawn, and let’s get down with some horror synth.
I finally was able to walk around my home town for a while today and explore the new lands of Pokémon. Turns out they finally got Starbucks on the map (yes!) and there’s a Pokémon GO Starbucks frappucino which consists of raspberry and blackberry (so delicious!)
Can Asher make friends, or is he destined to befriend druggie-sluts who never invite them to their toga parties? Did Isaac Homebrew bring home the right pizza, or was he stuck in clean up in the coffee aisle? Do the Golden Girls live on, and whatever happened to Rocket Raccoon? That and more!
Maus made a post once on Facebook, at least I believe it was him, which he claimed captured me perfectly. He was right, it was the image of a coffee and on it the words appeared, paraphrased, “I don’t really have a plan every day, just coffee and strangeness my friend, coffee and strangeness.”
Clock Tower is a game released for the Super Famicom in Japan in 1995. It is remarkable for its beautiful graphics, great atmosphere, and for kickstarting the survival horror genre. Although this game has been re-released since on various networks, it’s never enjoyed a release in North America, which is unfortunate because it’s such a good game.
Although this game has been re-released since on various networks, it’s never enjoyed a release in North America, which is unfortunate because it’s such a good game. In an effort to document one of my favorite series, I present Clock Tower information here. The next post in the series will cover the videos covering alternate endings.
This article is the second part of a series covering the 1995 Super Famicom release of Clock Tower. This post covers the characters you’ll encounter in the game. WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
I’ve always been a fan of Clock Tower. It’s just quirky! But, my introduction to the game was through the PSX title that was released in North America. However, that’s not the full story. In 1995 a Super Famicom game was released in Japan title Clock Tower that actually started the entire series.
I’ve decided that one thing I can work on is this blog. Here’s the deal, I have to keep myself busy. I’m not allowed to “not do anything” anymore, so, I’m going to need some projects or activities to keep me busy. There have been times in the past when I’ve kept up this blog to a pretty good degree, and it was kind of fun.
Tonight we’re going to an office party for Maus’ work for the holidays. Looks like I may have to be hanging up my hat at the moment and getting ready for that. I just thought I’d stop in here for a moment and share my thoughts.
