Pokémon GO Round-Up 3
So I decided to give this Pokémon GO thing a try last week. I loaded it up on my iPhone and proceeded on my usual walk to Starbucks. I thought I’d see what was on the way there, and then I’d go through Old Town Square and see what’s up.
So I’ve been walking around Fort Collins, though, Maus has a leg up on me because he can catch pokémon while I drive (he’s in the passenger seat, I obviously don’t Poké and drive). The last couple days I’ve been having trouble waking up at a reasonable hour. That’s why I have committed to walking around town in the morning hunting for Pokémon. Haha. When I don’t walk around in the morning, and then either settle down at home or at Starbucks (I’m leaning more towards my home because my more capable computer is there, unless I read, then Starbucks is okay), I lose half the day and it frustrates me. Then the day goes by twice as fast. Every time I’ve stayed awake in the morning the day is very nice. My sleeping in is driving Maus up the wall, so it’s time for a change.
I didn’t realize this until I got a glimpse of Maus screen for a split second while I was driving, but we live in a VERY populated area for Pokémon. Out in the neighborhoods, residential and such, there really isn’t a lot of pokéstops, which I guess makes sense. Here’re shots around where I live:
This is a record of catching at all times and places in the last little while. I’m gaining in levels, so my combat points are getting higher. Below are highlights of my catches:
I actually tried powering up a pokémon, this time it was Raticate. I haven’t really been doing anything particularly special for my Pokémon. Just collecting what I can and give them back to Professor. Eventually I do want to get enough experience, candy, stardust, and combat points to conquer the local gym on the corner. Mwahaha! A guy can dream right?
Anyways, I choose you Pikachu!
