So, Maus and one of our female opera friends decided we’d go try this new place in Fort Collins out. It’s probably not new at all, but it was new to us. Maus and I discovered it when we were taking our walk to the Dazbog, (actually more expensive than Starbucks!) just a morning constitutional, not to actually buy coffee. It’s simply called Ramen, as far as I know. I don’t have a picture of the store name unfortunately. However, Maus and our friend agreed it was a wee-aboo’s paradise. They had a bar where they were playing Princess Mononoke, and cute pictures all over the walls. I think they said that because you could get Naruto cookies/rolls. The ramen was pretty basic, and you added your own vegetables. I was able to capture some of the gyoza and a bowl of ramen:
After we ate at Ramen, where we talked of many things, including our friend’s boyfriend, and their new internet tv show, Geekamole, we went to the international market near the CSU campus. It’s right in the area where we used to live. If you’ve seen Willy at City Park, (below), that’s the area near the enclosed stadium.
At the international market there were all sorts of things! There was all sorts of flours and meals, asian hot water meals, sauces galore, and of course, frozen mochi! I love mochi anything, and wanted to get the room-temperature mochie treats, but they had peanuts in them. So, I got coffee flavored frozen mochi instead. So good! The picture at the top of the post is of an energy drink I thought was kind of funny from India.
